The new Laidlaw Foundation identity perfectly embodies the dynamic nature of the Foundation's work.  Starting with the letter 'L', gradually and character by character, the word lifts into a cohesive, upright and confident stance.  Metaphorically, the letters represent an individual, but collectively the complete wordmark represents strength as the sum of its parts.  Underneath, the word 'Foundation' sits solidly, providing a base of stability and support.  This new wordmark expresses growth, transformation and pride - all of which echo the Laidlaw Foundation's advocacy for change through investments in the innovative ideas of young people.
