Beyond the Street: Youth and Communities Taking Action on Homelessness On September 26 – 29, 2006, St. John’s, NL was the site of Beyond the Street, an exciting event which drew the attention of the national media. Most importantly, delegates heard directly from young people and developed a coordinated strategy around youth homelessness to bring back to their communities.
Developing and Sustaining Community-Based Participatory Research Partnerships Curriculum now available online at www.cpbrcurriculum.info. The seven unit curriculum, authored by the Community-Institutional Partnerships for Prevention Research Group, aims to foster critical thinking and action while focusing on developing and sustaining partnerships.
PovNet is for advocates, people on welfare, and community groups and individuals involved in anti-poverty work. It provides up-to-date information about welfare and housing laws and resources in British Columbia, Canada. PovNet links to current anti-poverty issues and also provides links to other anti-poverty organizations and resources in Canada and internationally.

St. Christopher House has a new website, check it out! The design is rooted in a computer training program, Bang the Drum that has provided free computer lessons and internet access to different locations in St.Christopher House's neighbourhood. Womyn's Voices - Engaging women to advance equality through technology This site provides a portal to an interactive set of web-based resources, offering cutting edge feminist analysis and information on women's equality and ICT issues. Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA): Sifting Through the Layers Anti-racism DVD Resource Package Members of the Youth Against Racism theatre group created 13 skits based on their realities and learned to facilitate critical anti-racism workshops. After requests for live workshops, they created a DVD that would make their workshops more accessible. The resource package includes a youth Zine and facilitator guide that addresses the themes of each skit/short film and includes possible discussion questions.
