  • Work with major education organizations in Canada as well as with teachers to create resources for parents, adult ally's for youth, children and youth, all of which foster social responsibility.  All resources are free and available in pdf file.

  •  Is a campaign launched by the city of Toronto in January 2004 to encourage community based organizations to involve young people in decision making that affect the community at large.  The site offers training sessions for organizations interested in youth participation and provides a guide to involving youth in decision making, which is available in pdf file.

  • The Youth Education and Families Institute of the National League of Cities in the US released an action kit for municipal leaders on Creating a Youth Master Plan.  The kit offers tips and advice for cities seeking to develop a shared framework and improve coordination of services and opportunities for children and youth.

  • The Forum for Youth Investment is a non-profit, non-partisan "action tank" dedicated to helping communities in the US make sure all young people are Ready by 21: ready for college, work and life.  Informed by rigorous research and practical experience, the Forum forges innovative ideas, strategies and partners to strengthen solution for young people and those who care about them.  A trusted resource for policy makers, advocates, researchers and program professionals, the Forum provides youth and adult leaders with the information, connections and tools they need to create greater opportunities and outcomes for young people.

  • Prepares youth to be leaders and decision makers in their communities and strengthens relationships between youth and adults through publications, workshops and through technical assistance.  The site provides various publications that outline how youth can become leaders and how adults can help.
